Bringing the Future of Energy Into Every Classroom
NSCI’s Schools for Sustainability program is India’s FIRST comprehensive school-facing clean energy initiative. Six interlocking offerings transform how schools teach science, how teachers deliver it, and how students engage with the planet’s most urgent challenges.
Become an NSCI-Certified Green School
The NSCI Green School Certification is a structured, auditable pathway that assesses, trains, and certifies schools as leaders in environmental responsibility. Schools that earn NSCI Green School status gain a nationally recognised distinction — a signal of academic seriousness, environmental leadership, and future-readiness that influences admissions, rankings, and institutional identity.
5-step journey label
THE CERTIFICATION JOURNEY:
Step 1 — School Sustainability Audit: Energy, waste, water, and awareness assessed using NSCI’s proprietary Green School Index
Step 2 — Gap Analysis & Action Plan: Personalised improvement roadmap delivered by NSCI scientists
Step 3 — Training for Students & Staff: Interactive workshops on energy literacy, waste science, and sustainability
Step 4 — Certification: School receives NSCI Certified Green School status upon meeting the standard
Step 5 — Annual Renewal: Updated audit, refresher training, renewed certification every year
02. Hydrogen Future Energy Workshops
1–2 day immersive school events featuring live demonstration of NSCI’s Hydroelectric Cell (HEC) electrochemical energy conversion system. Students interact with real equipment, engage with NSCI scientists, and experience electrochemical principles in action. Age-appropriate sessions for Class 6–12. Every student receives a Workshop Completion Certificate.
Student Innovation Program
Students design and build working clean energy projects — hydrogen models, solar measurement systems, sustainability trackers — under NSCI mentorship. Semester-long program with structured milestones, a final demonstration day, and top projects featured nationally. Certificate: NSCI Young Innovator — Clean Energy.
Future Energy Educators Program– Certify Your Teachers. Transform Your Classrooms.
NSCI’s 3–5 day intensive trains school teachers in sustainability science, clean energy STEM, and electrochemistry basics. Graduates receive the NSCI Certified Future Energy Educator credential — valid 2 years, renewable — and join the NSCI Educator Network for ongoing lesson plans, content updates, and peer support.

Let's do something really big with our expertise and your dream together!
From electrochemical transport to membrane systems to hydrogen generation — NSCI works at the technical frontier. We solve real scientific problems, not just describe them.
Skilled clean-energy professionals are India's most urgent need. NSCI builds that human capital — from school students to PhD researchers to industry engineers — through certified, outcome-oriented programs.
NSCI's Hydroelectric Cell (HEC) is a proprietary electrochemical energy conversion platform that generates clean electricity and green hydrogen from water — engineered using specially processed lithium-substituted magnesium ferrite. Zero emissions. Room temperature operation. Scalable.
